Fun Day Trips From Charlotte:

Lake Jocasee:

Lake Jocassee is our favorite lake to visit during the summer months it's perfect to beat the heat this Labor Day weekend. If you are looking for a perfect Day trip this place is a must visit. Pack a picnic basket or just get some snacks at their little store on site and enjoy the day swimming, floating or paddling the unusually clear water of Lake Jocassee is a haven for scuba divers and swimmers. Overnight guests can stay in a fully-furnished villa or in one of two campgrounds located near Lake Jocassee. (FYI: Bring water shoes for the kids to enter the small beach area)

Dupont State Forest

Take the kids to the "Hunger Games" setting. The park offers amazing waterfalls, lakes, and trailsOnly Two hour's and 11 minute away from Charlotte is south of Asheville between Hendersonville and Brevard,This will be a great Spring break or Summer fun Day trip! because we really enjoy waterfalls, easy trail access for the kids and the entire family, and beautiful scenery.

Chimney Rock Park

We really got our batteries charged at Chimney Rock Park with this amazing view and experience!  we wanted to end our summer break with a great memory. We took the boys to Chimney Rock. It's 1.5 hours away from Charlotte, and kids under 5 get in for Free. Our four year old was able to go to the top. Kids can enjoy a cool bat cave and a rock tunnel. It's next to lake Lure, so maybe it can be a great day trip during Summer.
