Garden in a Jar- Parent + Child Class at UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens

Spend an afternoon with your child learning to make your own woodland style terrarium for home, or as a gift for someone special. We will guide you through the steps on how to build your own terrarium and provide instruction on maintaining and caring for your miniature eco-system.
All materials will be included (a mason jar, stones, soil, decorative elements and plants) and we will assist in the design process. Terrariums are living art and we invite you to bring a vessel that fits your personal style, as well as any special decorative elements to add your own unique touch to your creation. A fun informative class that will inspire you to think inside the glass world of terrariums.
Location: McMillan Greenhouse, UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens
Cost: $25 Members / $30 Non-members (class fee includes jar and plant materials; sibling discount, email Esther for details)
Class limit: 14 (for children 6-12 years old, accompanied by a parent).
