NC Science Festival: Fire and Iron: The Art and Science of the Blacksmith's Forge

In collaboration with the North Carolina Science Festival, the High Point Museum presents Fire and Iron: The Art and Science of the Blacksmith's Forge. Come out to the High Point Museum and meet members of the North Carolina Artist-Blacksmith's Associations Triad chapter. These members will be working throughout the day and discussing the science involved in taking the raw materials of the world and turning them into useful everyday objects. Discover the chemistry involve in turning iron into steel and then using heat to control its properties.
