Join us as we celebrate the 5th year of the University City Turkey Trot... our cute turkey is turning five! The University City Turkey Trot is a timed 5K race/walk sponsored by Sickle Cell Partners of the Carolinas on Thanksgiving Day.
Join fellow runners and walkers Thanksgiving Day for this great community race at 3024 Prosperity Church Road (formerly The Fresh Market) in Charlotte for all of University City to enjoy! After the race, cool down and enjoy a post-race mini-feast featuring food, drinks and music!
Our 5th-year tee shirt is one you do not want to be without. To guarantee you receive a tee shirt, please register for the race by 11/09/2018.
The University City Turkey Trot features a dedicated one-mile fun run (for all ages). Costumes are encouraged for all those young at heart! Prizes will be awarded to the top three costumes. In addition, prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in each age category. Participants are encouraged to take part in our food drive by bringing a non-perishable item to support those who are less fortunate in our community. Participation in this event supports Sickle Cell Partners of the Carolinas.
