Charlotte leads the state of North Carolina in the number of drownings per capita — the Y is working to change this through swim programs for swimmers of every level.
When you learn to swim, you gain confidence, acquire safety/rescue skills and experience water activities you can enjoy for a lifetime. Throughout all stages, we teach students how to be safer and more comfortable in the water.
