Belmont School of Ballet

Classical Ballet studio offering the highest quality training in the area. Classes also offered in tap, jazz and modern.The Belmont School of Ballet is an extension of the Charlotte School of Ballet which was founded in 1968 by Gay Porter. The school offers the highest levels of instruction in classical ballet. Teachers are qualified and experienced in teaching both children and adults – from age 3 to 93!
The ballet curriculum is based on both the syllabus of the Royal Academy of Dance, London, England and the Cecchetti Council of America. Classes are also offer in pointe and variations, modern dance, tap, jazz and pilates.

Performing is an important aspect of a dancer’s training. We will seek opportunities to perform throughout the community as well as in full-length story ballets.
