Canaan Summer Camps
Whether it’s your first time attending summer camp or you’re a returning camp family, we want to welcome you to an exciting summer of fun, memories, growth and friendship at Camp Canaan! Located on a 100 acre island in the Catawba River just 25 miles south of Charlotte, NC, Camp Canaan offers unique summer camps for kids in the Charlotte, Fort Mill, and Rock Hill, SC area. Our summer camp programs serve campers ages 5-16 and include day camps, specialty camps, and resident/overnight camps.
JUNIOR DAY CAMP
FRIENDS, ADVENTURE, FUN & MORE!
This year Junior Day Camp is all about FUN! The campers will have the opportunity to experience more adventure activities like Safe Archery, exciting Relay Races, and Water Slide Kickball! Junior Day Campers will be able to develop close relationships with their counselors through small groups in age specific categories to allow a more comfortable and safe environment to grow in Christ, in relationships with others and to just have FUN!
Additionally, there will be new crafts including water gun painting and journals that the campers will make here at camp to bring home for lasting memories of their week (or multiple weeks) at Camp Canaan! We are incredibly excited about summer 2021 and can’t wait to have you here on this island we call Canaan!
SENIOR DAY CAMP
ADVENTURE, SPORTS, FRIENDSHIP & MORE!
Senior Day Camp is all about skills and activity in 2021! Our campers will develop new skills while participating in activities like fishing, kayaking, sports, team building, and swimming. Our Senior Day Camp utilizes small groups to allow for a more comfortable and safe environment for campers to have FUN, build relationships with their peers and counselors, and grow in Christ!
ALL GIRLS RESIDENT CAMP
GIRLS RULE THE ISLAND!
Looking for an all girls overnight summer camp experience? Look no further than Camp Canaan’s Resident overnight camp for girls ages 10-13.
Don’t miss out on this fantabulous week where the Girls of Canaan dominate the island for the fourth year in a row!!! Young ladies discover their true identity and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace throughout this epic week.
Your daughter may have eclectic interests from mud boots to mocha Frappuccino’s, but she is certain to enjoy this week of discovery, new friendships and lasting memories. She will take on new challenges and return home inspired and ready to conquer the world!

Our week-long Journey Camp is designed as a personal journey to encourage young campers to discover their gifts and talents. Here at Camp Canaan, we share your passion and excitement for watching your children grow and mature into the person God has created them to be. What better way to embark on that journey than in the environment of camp life here on The Island? Our Canaan team has created an incredible week of adventure, fun and friendship sure to create lasting memories for your kiddo!
