CPR certifications are valid for two years. If you are required to have your CPR certification, the renewal is every two years. American Heart Association provides 2 year certification for CPR, AED, First Aid, BLS, Bloodborne Pathogens and the Friends and Family CPR training program at Breathe Carolinas in Charlotte. American Heart requires that the renewal is every two years, however it is best to go ahead and renew yearly. Your certification expires the last day of the expiration month and year. After two years it is time to renew your CPR, AED, First Aid, or BLS class.
Employees are often required to maintain a CPR certification and we know that it takes more than one class to stay fresh on CPR certification. Many First Responder classes practice CPR on a bi-monthly or quarterly basis. Always consider a renewal at Breathe Carolinas in Charlotte if you feel you are not sure what to do in case of emergency.
The American Heart Association (AHA) has lead the way for keeping CPR performance standards and guidelines as up-to-date as possible. Current research explains that CPR practices should be refreshed, improved and practiced on a regular basis. This information is included in all courses at Breathe Carolinas in Charlotte moving forward for certification for CPR, AED, First Aid, BLS, Bloodborne Pathogens and the Friends and Family CPR training.
