Stay cool this Summer with Summer Meals of CMS Nutrition!
Every Monday-Friday choose one hot or cold breakfast and or lunch!
Most children cannot wait for school to be out in June. However, for some parents, when school is out for summer, they worry about where their children will get breakfast or lunch. This summer over fifty local Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) will provide breakfast and lunch to feed hungry children in our community. We also have the Lunch Express sites for some remote areas that is difficult for students to get to a feeding site. Some sites begin their summer feeding programs on June 13th, 2018.
Just as learning does not end when school lets out, neither does a child's need for good nutrition. The Summer Food Service Program provides nutritious meals at no cost to help children in low-income areas get the nutrition they need to learn, play, and grow throughout the summer months when they are out of school.
