 l ages and grown-ups, too, can Learn to Ride a bike using the tried-and-tru
 e “balance bike” method. It’s easy, it’s fun, and it’s a skill that will la
 st a lifetime! Join the fun, and this FREE opportunity to Learn to Ride!<br
  /><br />Learn to Ride is a not-for-profit, 100% volunteer series of events
  to grow Charlotte’s cycling community one new cyclist at a time. Learn to 
 Ride is made possible in partnership with Bicycle Sport and Trips for Kids 
 Charlotte, with support from Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation, Meckle
 nburg County Public Health, and well-run media + marketing.<br /><br />The 
 event is geared to kids (of all ages!) and parents of kids, who want to lea
 rn to ride a bicycle without training wheels. Parents should bring their ki
 ds, their kids’ bikes and helmets. Don’t have a bike or helmet? Don’t worry
  – we have loaners! We’ll walk the soon-to-be-riders through the process, w
 hich is to sign in, check bike and helmet fit, remove training wheels and p
 edals, and lower the seat so the rider can stand comfortably over the bike.
  When the time’s right, we’ll reinstall the pedals – and turn this “balanci
 ng act” into practice with the pedals in motion!<br /><br />
