y 4 with a patriotic stroll along South Street to the Town Green beginning
at 5:30 p.m. from the Davidson Town Hall and Community Center, followed by
a Concert on the Green at 6:00 p.m. The stroll will include a color guard,
Davidson fire engine, and members of our community!
“This is a
great way for our entire community to come together and show our Davidson s
pirit,” said Community and Economic Development Director Kim Fleming.
“We hope to see neighbors from all over Town -- from Davidson Pointe
to Davidson Landing to Summers Walk -- strolling from the Town Hall and Co
mmunity Center to the Town Green for the concert,” said Fleming.

Town of Davidson Patriotic Stroll
To walk
in the stroll, residents are asked to line up at the Davidson Town Hall and
Community Center 251 South Street at 5:15 p.m. Festivities will begin at 5
:30 p.m.
All participants are encouraged to dress in festive at
tire and to decorate their wagons, bicycles, strollers, and pets in red, wh
ite, and blue. A color guard comprised of members of the Davidson Police an
d Fire departments will lead the community up South Street onto Main Street
to the Town Green.
South Street (starting at Cathey Street) wil
l be closed between 5:10 p.m. and 5:35 p.m. so that participants can safely
line up in the road and on the sidewalks.
Concert on the Green<
br />The Town’s traditional concert series, Concerts on the Green will take
place on Friday, July 4 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on the Town Green. Musi
cal talent, Buffett & Beyond, will perform on the steps of the Davidson Pub
lic Library at 6:00 p.m. upon the conclusion of the Town's Patriotic Stroll
