Sheep Shearing at the backcountry farm at The Schiele Museum of Natural History

Early settlers welcomed opportunities like sheep-shearing to gather for work and celebration. See 18th Century interpreters shear sheep, card wool and card and spin it into thread. Try the simple craft of weaving on a tape loom. Enjoy lively tunes from the 1700's and sweet aromas from the kitchen hearth.
