Calligraphy Workshop

Join us for a water brush Chinese calligraphy workshop, co-sponsored by the University City Regional Library and the Confucius Institute at UNC Charlotte. This workshop does not require prior knowledge of Chinese, and is open to anyone aged 6 or above. The workshop will cover the following content in English and provide hands-on experience for the participants:• Historical evolution of Chinese characters: from oracle script to modern Chinese• Basic strokes of Chinese characters• Appreciation of the charm of Chinese calligraphy: the eight principles of Yong (永)
