Live on the Green brings FREE, live musical performances to Uptown Charlotte's First Ward Park! Bring your friends and family, enjoy local food vendors and local craft beer, and take in the sights and sounds of Uptown.
On June 29, we will be joined in the park by The Josh Daniel/Mark Schimick Project (7 PM) and Donna the Buffalo.
The Josh Daniel/Mark Schimick Project is a fiery string band that blends bluegrass, soul, reggae and rock n’ roll into a style uniquely their own. Respecting their Appalachian roots, the multi-instrumentalists blend their harmonies and intricate string work into music that can appeal to a variety of music fans.
Donna the Buffalo's music can be described as groove-heavy and danceable. They have roots in old time fiddle music, which evolved into a soulful electric American mix infused with elements of cajun/zydeco, rock, folk, reggae, and country.
