Backyard Ecology Through the Eyes of a Bee

Join us for a deep dive into where our greatest individual impact is felt in nature--the land surrounding our homes.

Kim O'Shea, beekeeper, archaeologist and master gardener will take us on a tour, through videos and photos, of an active and healthy ecosystem where all manner of buzz, flutter and critters reside.

We will learn how to play a supportive role in a thriving garden with practical strategies such as diversified plantings for all seasons, understanding nutritional needs for the food chain, sustainable gardening practices, reducing chemical usage and providing nest sites, water sources and food for a wide range of wildlife needed for a balanced ecosystem.
