Book Fair Festival

Visit the Gantt for family fun at our inaugural Children's Book Fair Festival. This all-day event will be a celebration of our youth with engaging storytelling and activities. Meet notable authors and illustrators, including New York City's Lincoln Center's first-ever poet-in-residence, Mahogany L. Browne, and award-winning author, Tameka Fryer Brown.

We will celebrate reading, imagination, and how books transport you to places – real or fantasy – and serve as an outlet for creativity. Enjoy interactive art-making workshops, participate in a multigenerational African drum circle, and delight in a vendor marketplace from local artisans.

You will also have an opportunity to win prizes and giveaways from our partners, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. This is a free festival for the whole family to enjoy!
