Learn Zone Live Stream

Join us for a virtual Charlotte Kids Fest this year November 4th – 8th! Whether in-person or at home, we look forward to providing opportunities for kids to explore the world around us. This year, we will deliver fun-filled educational segments via Facebook Live each evening at 6 PM. Each day we will present a different Kids Zone for one hour. Check out our lineup below. Make sure you mark your calendars and tune in to our Live streams.
Day 3 of the Charlotte Kids Fest will be the Learn Zone and include the following groups:
-- Smart Start of Mecklenburg County
-- Light and Chare Solutions LLC
I will talk about the chemistry of fire and color. The science of color is so unique, and it is all around us! We are looking forward to sharing our excitement with you!
List of supplies if you want to follow along with the live stream!
- Plastic cup
- paper
- marker (black colored or multiple colors)
- soapy water
-- Pioneer Springs
Pioneer Springs Community School, a local charter school serving Kindergarten-HS, will present a nature-based activity.
-- University City Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library
Explore STEAM in a creative way through an interactive activity with University City Library. In this segment, we will be making cardboard marble runs. If you would like to follow along and make one with us you will need the following supplies:
- Toilet Paper and/or Paper Towel Rolls
- Tape/adhesive to stick rolls to a wall or vertical surface (we use washi tape)
- Scissors
- Circular objects that fit inside the roll (Marble, rock, paper ball, pom pom, etc.)
