Mini Fossil Dig at The Schiele Museum of Natural History

  • Location: The Schiele Museum of Natural History 1500 E Garrison Blvd, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054

Participate in a hunt for mini fossils from the Carolina coast. Take home what you find from fossilized shells to shark teeth! Thanks to Carolina Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Center for their support of the mini-fossil dig program!
This program is designed to minimize contact, so participants will be given a "kit" that they'll be able to dig through and search for fossils! You'll have 30 minutes to work through your items, and staff will be on hand to help identify items you find!
Ticket purchase includes: Mini Fossil Dig
Does not include tickets to the museum, sock skating, farm or planetarium unless additional tickets have been purchased.
Program Tickets: $5 per person ages 4+
Adult: 19 years +
Youth: 4 - 18 years
Child: 3 and under
Each participant is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
