Join Carolina Raptor Center for our monthly Homeschool Days to celebrate learning outdoors and experience fun, educational activities for all students! Each month will highlight a new topic that focuses on a wide variety of STEM-related themes that will appeal to elementary, middle, and high school students. You'll find that a visit to CRC will meet many of the science-based goals included in any educational curriculum. All students are welcome, whether you are a homeschooler or a traditional student learning virtually from home this year!
Homeschool Day Details
Homeschool Days occur on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 10 am - 12:30 pm
All activities are included in General Admission to the Raptor Trail
Pre-registration is not required
Tickets Include
- Admission to the Raptor Trail featuring over 30 species of birds
- Interactive, educational activities designed especially for Homeschool Day
- Popup encounters with Avian Trainers working with birds
- Different Themes Each Month

You Are What You Eat- Energy is transferred in different ways in nature. Explore the components of a food web and learn more about producers, consumers, and decomposers!

Mission Migration- What motivates an animal to travel long distances when they migrate? Learn more about migration and challenges these animals may face on their journey.

Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 10 am - 12:30 pm
The Science of All Things Icky- Vomit, poop, and mucus! Investigate the oddities in nature that humans may think are gross but can be helpful all around.
