Birth of Planet Earth: Planetarium Program

  • When: Monday, September 6, 2021,  3:30 pm -  4:00 pm
  • Location: The Schiele Museum of Natural History 1500 E Garrison Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28054

This program tells the twisted tale of our planet's origins. Scientists now believe that our galaxy is filled with solar systems, including up to a billion planets roughly the size of our own. How did Earth become a living planet in the wake of our solar system's violent birth? What does its history tell us about our chances of finding other worlds that are truly Earth-like?

Ticket purchase includes:
*Planetarium Program selected
Planetarium Program Tickets:
Adult: 19 years + ($5 + tax)
Youth: 4 - 18 years ($5 + tax)
Child: 3 and under (free)

IMPORTANT TICKET INFORMATION
* Children must be accompanied by an adult. Each person will require a ticket.

* Each participant is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing throughout the program.

* Shows begin promptly at their scheduled time.

* Due to the planetarium’s dark environment, late admission or re-admission once a program begins is not permitted; please arrive early to allow time for seating.

* Masks are required.

* Ticket purchases are non-refundable.

* Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your ticket time to check-in at the front desk and to be seated for the program.

* Ticket purchase is exclusively for the planetarium program selected and does not include access to the museum nor farm.
