Field of Honor® - 9.11 Memorial at Huntersville Parks & Recreation

Huntersville remembers the innocent loss of life when hijacked planes crashed into buildings and farmland in unspeakable acts of terror. The annual display of flags in Veterans Park reminds us that freedom has a cost.
We invite community members to gather on 9/11 during the hours of the attack 20 years ago, 8:46am-10:46am to participate in a moment of silence in remembrance of those who lost their lives and give thanks to those still serving us today.
Veterans Park and Town Center, found in the heart of Huntersville, provides the site for the town’s 4th Annual Field of Honor® Display. The inspiring formation of 100 United States Flag will bring the community together that adults may remember, and that youth may learn. It is an experience hard to describe, but never to be forgotten.
Please visit the Huntersville Field of Honor® display and walk among the posted flags. The display is open to all without charge. Don’t miss it!
