SCNP Nature at Night Week: Lantern Lit Hike

  • When: Thursday, October 14, 2021,  7:00 pm -  9:00 pm
  • Location: Stevens Creek Nature Preserve and Center, Charlotte NC.
  • Cost: Free

Art, nature and light combine during this family-friendly evening event. As part of McDowell Nature Center's Nature at Night Festival, experience Stevens Creek by the light of the moon and whimsical DIY lanterns. Build your own lantern (with a special guest from the Mint Museum) then follow more lanterns to points of interest along the nature trail. Gather with others around the campfire to share your stories before heading home.
Notes: Pre-registration required 48 hours before program for every participant; group registration available. Masks required when 6-feet social distance can't be maintained; bring your own or one will be provided. Be prepared to hike up to 1 mile in low lighting on natural surface trails. Hike is self-guided, though staff will be monitoring route.
