Harvest on the Homestead

• When: Saturday, October 16, 2021, 10:00 am -  4:00 pm
  
• Location: Historic Brattonsville, SC.

Celebrating the Carolina Piedmont’s agricultural heritage with 19th century-style harvest time festivities.
Activities include:
• Apple butter and apple cider pressing
• Historic cooking of seasonal dishes, including apple fritters, corn cakes, and a “forced pumpkin”
• Food preservation: drying pumpkins, pickling eggs, and preserving apples
• Blacksmithing
• Woodworking
• Corn shelling
• Children’s games
• Relay races
• Barnyard tours
• Historic preservation tours
• Historic cotton ginning
