First Day Hike at Lake Norman State Park

• Location: 759 State Park Road, Troutman, NC

Start your year off right! Join a Ranger and enjoy a short hike at Lake Norman State Park. We will hike the .8 mile Alder Trail which follows the shorelines of Norwood and Hicks Creek. Participants can expect to discover flora and fauna which call the park home. The hike will begin at 11:00 AM and will leave from the Wood Duck Shelter, located behind the Visitor Center. Before the hike, please join the Friends of Lake Norman State Park for s’mores and hot chocolate at the Wood Duck Shelter. For more information about the programs, please call 704-528-6350. All CDC and NC COVID-19 restrictions must be followed.
