Change Makers (North Carolina Science Festival)

Attention inventors and dreamers!

Come join UNCW for our ChangeMakers event for the 2019 NC Science Festival! Everyone, ages 4-17 years are welcome. People diagnosed with disabilities are also encouraged to attend. We will provide opportunities for young people to explore maker technology as part of the Maker Movement, to become dream makers. Community partners, people with disabilities, and our team of faculty/staff will be on hand to help you design an invention in our maker space. This space will allow you to develop something you are passionate about that will solve a problem. Some activities will include making:
• Simple grabbers
• Earphone covers or ear protectors
• Simple prosthesis
• Wheel chairs or covers
• Fidget toys
• Extended pointers
We will have fun and make a difference in our world.
