The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art offers a memorable day of exploring and discovering three floors of fun, complete with a sculpture terrace. Right on the corner of S.Tryon and Levine Avenue of the Arts, your kids are sure to learn about themselves and the art world around them. The best part is, they won't even notice they're learning!
Channel that creative energy and check out Family Day at the Bechtler. This free afternoon for kids under 18 and $9 for adults will be held on Saturday, May 11 from noon until 4:30 p.m. Workshops are themed around the museum’s current exhibitions, Sculpture from the Bechtler Collection and Nomadic Murals: Tapestries of the Modern Era.
At the Bechtler art activities will include creating paper and ink collages, miniature artist books and tiny tapestries – in honor of Nomadic Murals: Tapestries of the Modern Era. Kids will also love art-focused tours that begin in the lobby at 1 p.m. or 3 p.m.
Kids and families can explore the art and artists in the Bechtler collection through special hands-on art activities and family-focused museum tours during Family Day Saturday, May 11 from noon to 4:30 p.m. Drop in anytime during the afternoon.
