Halloween Nightwatchman Tours at Old Salem Museums & Gardens

  • When: Saturday, October 26, 2019,  7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
  • Location: Old Salem Museums & Gardens 600 S Main St, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27101
  • Cost: $40 per person, (plus applicable sales tax).

Grab a lantern and let the Salem Nightwatchman guide you through Salem’s streets. From 1774 until 1852, the town of Salem needed a nightwatchman to keep things safe and quiet. From violent Tavern strangers to devastating fires, medical emergencies, and unexplained death, the nightwatchman journals tell tales of happenings and events that took place late in to the night. Join us as you wander the dark streets of the village , lantern in hand, to keep watch over the night with the Salem Nightwatchman. You never know what may rustle behind a bush or draw you into a dark house.

Way more interesting than made-up stories of ghosts, you will walk the dark streets, visit several stops in the town, and hear records taken from the actual history journals of the Night Watchman!!

Cost: This fundraising event helps supports operations and education of the 45,000 school children who visit Old Salem.

Tour Location: Tours will leave promptly at tour times from the Boys School (corner of Main and Academy Streets).
