Hands-on History: Telling Your Family's Story

Create a one-of-a-kind gift for loved ones this holiday season and learn how to tell your own family's story. Kids 5 to 12 years old are invited to join The Charlotte Museum of History and The Olde Mecklenburg Genealogical Society for an afternoon make and take at the Museum. Oral histories and family stories are an important part of the Queen City's history and we want kids to feel like they too can be a part of this tradition. Attendees will write their own stories and learn how to ask loved ones to share theirs before assembling their very own book.
Not a kid but want to get in on the fun? The Olde Mecklenburg Genealogical Society Family Research Library will be open and full of people ready and waiting to help you learn more about finding and telling your family's history.
