I Have a Dream Parade & Celebration
- When: Saturday, January 18, 2020, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
- Location: Cultural Arts District, Lancaster SC Lancaster, South Carolina 29720
Annual Celebration to honor and celebrate the life and works of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade begins at 3pm, with a celebration ceremony following at 4pm at historic Barr Street High School Auditorium. Parade Grand Marshal is Glen Crawford and guest speaker for ceremony will be Lester Young of Path 2 Redemption. Ceremony will also feature performances by Lancaster District Youth and Young Adult Choir of the AME Zion Church and by Benedict College. Original Poetry reading will be presented by Kathy Mcllwain and the High School and Middle School Essay Winners will present their essays.
