Lunar New Year Celebration - Traditional Lion Dance & Dumplings!

Happy Year of the Rat!!!! This event is free & open to the public.
We'll be handing out gifts of good fortune throughout the day to bring luck and prosperity to our neighbors.
12:00 PM onward
The Dumpling Lady will be here all day sharing her noodles (for long life in Chinese traditions) and her legendary dumplings. Eating Dumplings during new year celebrations are extremely lucky, so bottoms up!
2:30 PM
We'll have a TRADITIONAL LION DANCE costumes & accompanying drums out on display for you to touch, try on and play! In China, traditional drumming is associated with pomp, circumstance and jubilation. It is a hallmark of prosperity and celebration, uniting people through collective rhythm and tempo.
3:00PM
The TRADITIONAL LION DANCE & music will begin - Courtesy of our friends from the community, Hung Gar Kung Fu Academy. If you missed this last year, it is one of our favorite moments and not to be missed.

The Rat is the first of all zodiac animals. In Chinese culture, rats are seen as a sign of wealth and surplus. Because of their reproduction rate, married couples also pray to them for children.
We're celebrating friends, family, and and a surplus of all the good vibes that the Rat represents.
