Family History Day

Visit Stagville to learn about how to research enslaved ancestors in NC, and discover how Stagville researches family histories during enslavement. Experts from the North Carolina State Archives, the People Not Property project, and the Afro American Historical and Genealogical Society will be on site to share resources and answer questions. This event is perfect for someone who is researching their family history, or for anyone interested in the research and records of enslaved people in North Carolina!

Bring family documents or photos that you would like digitized! A librarian will be on site with a "digitization station" for these materials.
