Prescribed fire is a key tool in forest management. That’s right, Natural Resources professionals start some fires on purpose! Come see the equipment and techniques we use during a prescribed fire and learn why you may see these events in our nature preserves. Fire effects can be subtle, but the common theme is a healthier forest, rich with diversity and resilient against whatever the future may hold.
