SCNP: Weed Warriors

Kick off the spring season and help beautify your local preserve. We'll focus on removing the highly invasive Silverberry plant. This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity for anyone ages 10+ that can count towards required service hours.
Notes: Pre-registration required 48 hours before start of program for all participants; anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your own gardening/protective gloves; all other supplies provided. Dress for the weather in clothes that can get dirty; bring water/snack and sunscreen/bug spray.
Per updated Mecklenburg County guidelines, as of February 26, 2022, masks are optional while inside all county buildings. If you are participating in a Park & Recreation program that travels in a van/bus, masks will still be required; you will receive additional information in advance of each program.
