Get to know the nature preserves Mecklenburg County has to offer. Stevens Creek Preserve is fairly new to the county and features approx. 3.5 miles of wooded, easy-moderate trails. This hike is part of a series at different locations around the county, led by different Park and Recreation staff. These hikes are at a moderate pace and range from 1-3 miles depending on the location. They all qualify for the 100 Mile Hike Club and if you attend every one, you'll be entered to win a prize! Pre-registration required. Wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes and bring a water bottle, sun and bug protection as desired. Expect to cover up to 3 miles on natural surface trails with easy/moderate terrain. If hiking with a baby, we recommend using a body carrier, or off-road-type strollers are ok.
