Countdown to Kindergarten at Discovery Place Kids

Celebrate your child’s big day as they prepare to enter kindergarten. At this FREE event, meet local kindergarten teachers and community partners as we learn tools for kindergarten readiness. Our annual Countdown to Kindergarten event will be a blast as we prepare for the new school year!

This free event on Friday, August 18, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. includes several activities:

Practice bus safety with Gus the Bus
Learn how to carry a lunch tray, open milk and juice boxes
Enjoy Storytime with the Public Library as we rehearse lining up in a line
Make memories with a pop-up photoshoot with graduation gear for kids to wear
Get a free dental screening, plus practice scissors safety and tying your shoes
Explore, test and try new skills throughout the Museum!
