The reimagined Sullenberger Aviation Museum on the campus of CLT Airport is slated to open in the summer of 2024. Immersive storytelling and hands-on, interactive exhibits capture the imagination of kids of all ages. The new museum galleries explore the planes, people, and industry of aviation in the Carolinas. More than 40 iconic aircraft inspire visitors to pursue their dreams of taking flight and write their own stories into the future of aviation. A highlight of the museum is a reimagined exhibition featuring US Airways Flight 1549 (better known as the 'Miracle on the Hudson') that was successfully landed on New York’s Hudson River.
