Brain training (or cognitive training) is the training and development of foundation cognitive skills necessary for academic performance.
Instead of tutoring or training at the skill level (reading/writing/math), brain training starts at the foundation of cognitive skills. This process builds neural pathways which unlock academic performance for children. Since children's brains are more plastic ("neural plasticity") than an adults, their brain can learn and build new neural pathways at a fast rate. In order to rewire the brain, it takes repetition and consistency at home and in the clinic. Results can be seen within a month and extensive changes can be seen in two - six months.
