ALC Mosaic

The private school ALC Mosaic is designed for children ages 5 through 14 (K-8). Additionally, we operate a high school program for students who have spent at least one full year with us.

We typically do not enroll new students over the age of 13, unless they have prior experience homeschooling/unschooling, or in another self-directed learning environment.

We use light-weight structures for self-organization and intentional culture creation, allowing our students to engage authentically with the world through their passions and strengths. Our learning environment embraces choice and freedom along with collaboration between students, facilitators, other adult community members, and the larger community in Charlotte. We are all about creating space and using tools that support students, facilitators, and parents in having a voice and taking an active role in creating the community they want.
