Carolina Youth Coalition

Carolina Youth Coalition is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that nurtures and propels high-achieving, under-resourced students to and through college.

The Smith Opportunity Scholarship (SOS) Fund, endowed by Andrea and Sean Smith, awards scholarships annually to participants of Carolina Youth Coalition who are planning to attend a 4-year university. The SOS scholarship award bridges the funding gap between the total cost of attendance and the recipients’ financial aid package after Federal Pell Grant, federal loans and other scholarships.
