The award-winning Summer Concert & Movie Series, conducted in Cabarrus County’s largest amphitheater at Village Park, continues to attract thousands of people annually from Kannapolis and the Charlotte region.

Rotary Express Train
Visitors to Village Park can also enjoy a leisurely ride on the Rotary Express Train, a g-24 scale replica CP Huntington engine and three coaches.

The train will be open weekends only beginning Saturday, April 6, 2024. Weekend hours will be Saturdays (10 a.m. – 7p.m.) and Sundays (noon-6 p.m.) until Memorial Day.

Beginning Saturday, May 25 through Sunday, August 11 the train will be open daily. Hours will be Monday - Saturdays (10 a.m. – 7p.m.) and Sundays (noon-6 p.m.)

The train will again operate on weekends only (10a.m. – 7p.m, Saturdays; and noon – 6 p.m. Sundays) August 11 through October 20, 2024. The train will be open Labor Day, Monday, September 2, from noon-6 p.m.

The train will be closed September 3, 2024 - April 5, 2025.

Tickets are $1.50 per person.

Carousel
Manufactured in Italy, the Village Park Carousel features 1,800 lights, Brazilian oak decking, and charming handpainted Venetian murals. The distinctive carousel horses delight children and adults. It is a vintage double decker carousel that accommodates approximately 60 people. $1.50 per person/per ride. Children 12 months and under FREE.

Splash Pad
Beginning Saturday, May 25 through Sunday, August 11 the splash pad will be open daily. Hours will be Monday - Saturdays (10 a.m. – 7p.m.) and Sundays (noon-6 p.m.)

The Splash Pad will again operate on weekends only (10a.m. – 7p.m, Saturdays; and noon – 6 p.m. Sundays) August 11, 2024 through Labor Day. The splash pad will be open Labor Day, Monday, September 4, from noon-6 p.m.

The Village Park Splash Pad offers fun all summer long with its water cannons, geysers and jets. Tickets are $1.50 per person.

Boomer’s Splash Pad at Atrium Health Ballpark is free, self-operated and will open daily around Memorial Day through September 30th.
