Rock Creek Park

Rock Creek Park is Albemarle ’s original public park. The park’s swimming pool was built as a Civilian Conservation Corps/Works Progress Administration project in the late 1930’s. Since then, the park has expanded to include a picnic area, three lighted tennis courts, a lighted athletic field, a mile-long walking/jogging trail, a rappelling tower and obstacle course used in the department’s ‘Challenge’ outdoor adventure program, as well as two competition-level bocce courts
