Dan Nicholas State Park

Lake Murtis is a 10-acre lake that is spring-fed and water run-off. The fish are bream, small mouth bass, catfish. We do not allow for carp fishing. Bass fish are catch and release; all other fish are keepers.

Visit our concession stand for refreshments, rules on feeding the animals, or purchasing your pass for fishing in our bountiful lake.

All fisherman must have a current N.C. fishing license to fish at Dan Nicholas Park.
