The Square at Trade and Tryon

The four bronze statues at Independence Square were given to the City of Charlotte by The Queens Table, a philanthropic group. The statues were created by Washington D.C. sculptor Raymond Kaskey. The statues of Transportation, Commerce, and Industry represent elements of the past which have contributed to Charlotte’s growth as a major commercial center. The three statues are all looking towards the fourth statue, Future.
