Mecklenburg County currently has one 4-H Club, the South Charlotte Clovers. The South Charlotte 4-H Club is primarily composed of high school students and meets at the Elon Recreation Center. The club strives to offer high schoolers opportunities related to STEM, public speaking, and volunteering. In North Carolina, 4-H is free and open to any youth ages 5-18 years old.
This club has experienced numerous successes and growth over this past year. Recent accomplishments include: members of the South Charlotte Club attending NC 4-H Congress and presenting a workshop, partnering with Queen City News to be featured in their program “QC Homegrown,” and receiving a scholarship from National 4-H!
