International House

International House is dedicated to serving the international community of Charlotte and encouraging cross-cultural communication and understanding.

We have 2 programs supporting K-5 Multilingual Learners (MLs) at our partnering CMS schools. Rising Up is an afterschool tutoring program focusing on increasing students' foundational literacy skills and English Language proficiency.

Rising Readers is 6-week summer literacy in which students are improving literacy and language skills to help prevent the summer academic slide or regression. Students connect and apply the literacy knowledge and content to STEAM project-based enrichment.
