Char-Meck Girls Softball

The CharMeck Softball League has been around for over 30 years providing leadership and structure for softball associations in the Greater Charlotte Area.

What is CharMeck Softball?

CharMeck Softball is a league made up of softball associations from across the greater Charlotte area and Union County. We provide a fun, competitive, and inclusive environment where players can learn, grow, and develop a love for the game. As the largest recreational softball league in the region, we focus on creating a positive experience for every player, with the support of dedicated coaches, parents, and volunteers.
Our league offers softball for players ages 4-18, with the following age divisions:
6U – T-Ball/Coach Pitch
8U – Modified Girl Pitch/Coach Pitch
10U, 13U, and 18U/High School
Each season includes 10 games followed by an End of Season (EOS) Tournament. In the summer, we offer an All-Star program for all age groups except 6U, giving players additional opportunities to compete and develop their skills. Additionally, we offer two Challenge Tournaments each season, the goal of which is to introduce more competitve play to our recreational players without the expense and commitment of a full-time travel program.

CharMeck Softball is run by an Executive Board, association commissioners, and dedicated volunteers who work together to ensure smooth league operations. Our board meets regularly to discuss league decisions, following structured procedures to ensure fairness and transparency.
What Does CharMeck Softball Do?
We’re responsible for:
✅ Maintaining and updating the league’s bylaws and playing rules (following National High School Federation (NHSF) rules with some modifications).
✅ Organizing and publishing game schedules, coach lists, tournament details, and field locations.
✅ Securing umpires for all games.
✅ Managing league and umpire fees.
✅ Hosting player and coach clinics.
✅ Running the summer All-Star tournaments.
✅ Overseeing league finances.
✅ Handling the day-to-day operations of the league.
✅ Providing game balls and trophies for teams and players.
