Matthews Athletic & Recreation Association Basketball

MARA Basketball is the place to play basketball in South Charlotte. Boys and Girls ages 5-15 enjoy competitive basketball in a great learning and game environment. As they have for many years, they will compete in the “Mecklenburg Youth Basketball League".

MARA basketball is a true “Teaching League” with strong coaching staffs and plenty of gym time for players to hone their skills. Their 10 game schedule features venues made up of the local Middle and High Schools. Professional referees, scoreboards and fans make for an environment that is equal to Middle or High School games.
