Sprouts is designed for the Pre-K or Kindergarten student.
Inspire a love for nature in your students with hands-on experiences in the gardens that engage their senses and imaginations. Program includes a 3-class series:
Getting to Know Trees: Say hello to Wing Haven’s trees! Learn about the different types of trees found in the gardens and their basic parts – roots, trunk, bark, and leaves. Program includes a brief tree lesson, tree story, guided tree walk, collaborative tree art project, and a tree craft to take home.
Feathered Friends: Learn all about birds and practice the skills of bird watching in an urban bird sanctuary! Program includes a brief bird lesson, bird story, paper binoculars craft, and guided bird walk.
Not-so-Creepy Crawlies: Discover the bugs around us that keep all gardens healthy and vibrant! Program includes a brief bug lesson, bug story, guided bug hunt, and a bug craft to take home.
The class series takes place on three consecutive Mondays, all 10:30 - 11:30 am:

- October 5
- October 12
Students may be dropped off by parents or accompanied by class educator.
