SCNP Weed Warriors Volunteer Day

Old man winter is gone so let's get outside and make a difference. Help beautify Stevens Creek Nature Preserve by clearing invasive Silverberry, a twiggy shrub that takes over and drives out native species. This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity for anyone ages 10+.
Notes: Pre-registration required 48 hours before start of program for all participants; anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. You need to bring your own protective gloves, however; all other supplies will be provided. Dress for the weather in clothes that can get dirty; bring water/snack and sunscreen/bug spray.
Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation follows all CDC guidelines and Governor’s orders. Participants are expected to wear a mask indoors at all times and outdoors if social distancing guidelines cannot be met. Participants may be less than 6’ apart during an outdoor program. At that time, we will ask everyone to wear a mask. If you cannot, you will be asked to stand more than 6’ away.
