Owl Prowl

The nature center houses live native wildlife, two classroom spaces (one available for rental), a gift shop, and an interactive exhibit hall. The displays highlight the importance of protecting water quality and feature hands-on experiences such as an augmented reality sand table, a living stream habitat with fish and turtles, and a five-foot model of the federally endangered Carolina Heelsplitter mussel.

Environmental education and outdoor recreation staff provide both public and private programs for visitors of all ages. Guests can check out activity backpacks to use along the trails or borrow busy bags to keep younger children engaged indoors.
